If you want to break up a large room you could build a wall or build an 8'6" tall, 8'wide, arched top bed with raised paneled back and adjustable bookcases throughout the head of the bed. This project was designed to break up a large room, with the rear of the bed backed up to a staircase to provide privacy when entering the room from downstairs. (cont. next picture)

(continued from previous picture)It has a tall pedestle and requires a double step to access the bed with the mattress. The foot of the bed has 2 three drawer chests for storage and small side drawers under each person instead of nightstands. The sides are raised panels with some panels opening like doors for a secret storage place. This project is made of cypress and was built on site.
